Free Pensions

In 1998, Amma launched Amrita Nidhi, a massive free, lifetime pension project to help 50,000 destitute women throughout India.

In 2006 Amma expanded the project so that it will reach 100,000 people. The recipients now include physically and mentally challenged men, women and children as well. The money helps them to buy essentials, such as food, medicine and schoolbooks.
