UK Activities

Here in the UK, there are many opportunities to get involved in activities and spiritual practices inspired by Amma. There are regular bhajan (devotional singing) sessions, which also involve spiritual teachings and meditation.

At least once a year, a weekend retreat is held for Amma's followers to come together for spiritual practice and community activities.

One of Amma's senior disciples visits the UK to hold various talks and retreats at least once a year. A specific retreat is also held to provide instruction on the IAM - Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique® for those who would like to be initiated in this meditation technique, or who need a refresher for their ongoing practice.

Each year, normally in autumn, Amma visits London for 3 days. See "Amma's 2008 UK Visit" for current details.

The AYUDH Youth movement that started in India has arrived in Europe, to find out more go to "UK Youth"

There are also organised fundraising events, such as sponsored walks and jumble sales to raise money for Amma's charitable projects in India, including her tsunami relief projects.
